Different Roulette Bets

Beginners may feel totally lost when they sit at a roulette table. This article presents some of the various bets you can place in the game of roulette.

Inside bets

The split bet - This bet allows you to share your bet between two numbers. You can place a casino chip between two numbers on the roulette table. You win if the white roulette ball lands on one of these two numbers. The odds for this kind of bet are 17:1, which is quite logical given that it is a shared bet between two numbers and a bet on a single number is paid 35 to 1. Special roulette bonuses will help you with your bankroll.

The square bet - This is a bet on a group of four numbers on the roulette table. The numbers must be placed next to each other diagonally when the player bets on them. This type of bet pays 8 to 1 if any of the numbers selected by the player comes out. You can join roulette tournaments.

The street bet - This is a bet on any three numbers in a row. The chances of winning such a bet are 11 to 1.
The straight bet - This is a bet on a single number on the roulette table. The chances of winning a "straight bet" are 35 to 1, which means that if you were to bet a dollar on one number on the roulette table and that number won, you would win 36 dollars, which means one dollar for the initial bet and 35 dollars in profit.

The line bet - This bet is also called "six-line bet" because it is a bet on two lines of numbers, all placed next to each other diagonally. In other words, it is a bet on a series of three numbers and another row of three numbers placed diagonally. This type of bet pays 5 to 1.

Outside bets

The column bet - This bet is placed on one of the three vertical columns on the roulette table. You are paid 2 to 1 if one of the numbers from your column wins.

The even bet (the even money bet) - This is the bet with the worst payout ratio, but the best chances of winning. The payout ratio is only 1 to 1, which means that you double your bet if you win. You can choose to bet on the odd, even, red or black numbers on the roulette table or numbers 1-18 or 19-36. The chances of winning are 50% with all these even bets.

The dozen bet - This bet also pays 2 to 1. It is placed on one of the sections of the roulette table that contains 12 numbers, hence the name of "dozen" bet. There are three sections with 12 numbers on the roulette table, so you can choose to bet on the first dozen, the second dozen or the third dozen.

Good luck!
