Pellets and Boilers

Boilers for emergency operation with pellets and firewood

Boilers can burn wood with or without low conversion work (rust). Wood pellets are not standard fuel, only a sort of bridge.

Normally, the combustion takes place following the upper fire principle (upper combustion) with intermediate grids. The relatively small pellet fire zone is used as feed chamber.

Disadvantages

Frequent refills

The burn is not clean

Unsatisfactory exhaust efficiency and wood quality
Pellet boilers can only be used with an authorization.

Combi boilers

- Top or bottom flanged fire boilers

Pellet burners can be modified in log boilers with little effort for low conversion times. Usually, the laterally flanged pellet burner is removed and the area is covered.

- Under-fire wood boilers with almost no modifications

Both logs and pellets can be used. In this case, the combustion chamber is adjusted with two fuels and has a special design. However, there is a small insertion/removal discomfort.

- Under-fire piece of wood boilers without modifications

Both logs and pellets can be used. Two separate firing systems are used and there is a common heat exchanger. The conversion is completed automatically.

Special solutions

A more expensive but also more variable solution is the combination of a special wood boiler with a pellet boiler.

Power control

It can be operated automatically in several pre-set levels or directly. The fuel and combustion air supplies vary. The best energy savings can be achieved with this type of boiler.
The control range is usually between 100% (full load) and 50% (partial load).

Below the lowest heat output, the plants operate in conjunction with an automatic ignition device or switch off.

Combustion control (firing control)

This is an additional function for power control. It guarantees a high burn-out and a high efficiency level.
The controlled variable is the setting of an optimum fuel/air ratio.

Lambda control

The lambda probe measures the excess air (O2) content in the exhaust stream. This is a defined value for the best CO values. In case of divergence, the fuel and air supplies are adjusted automatically. The probe is relatively expensive and has a limited life.

Good combustion and exhaust emissions can be achieved in a well-balanced pellet plant but also with a much cheaper temperature sensor.

How can I tell if my zebra finch is sick

Zebra finches are not like humans. They do not complain when they are sick, but simply change their behavior. Therefore it is important to recognize the early signs of disease immediately in zebra finche as it is the only way you can act quickly and take corrective action. Finally, the little patient will soon be happy again.
Generally, birds respond to injury and illness differently than we ourselves are accustomed to. External causes of injury, even with slight bleeding, they easily put away as a rule. Even bone fractures are usually only really serious if the wings are affected. Much more serious, however, are internal diseases: respiratory infections caused by such drafts, diseases of the digestive organs and vitamin deficiency due to poor diet, or egg-binding parasites.

Symptom changes in behavior

Most zebra finch diseases are to be avoided by you through care for optimal placement, appropriate nutrition and hygiene. If one of your feathered darlings is still sick, you have to act fast. But what symptoms indicate that one of your zebra finches is sick? Changes in behavior should always be a warning sign. If your bird behaves listless and indifferent, for example, or has the eyes closed or is puffed up frequently, it could indicate the onset of disease. Zebra finches normallyare brimming with zest for life and have something to do constantly. If he suddenly sleeps too much, or otherwise acts strangely, then you should be seriously worried.

A zebra finch with wet, sticky eyes that looks dull, has no luster in the eyes and isolates himself from his flock members, feels miserable. Furthermore, changes in feces are to be taken as one symptom of a zebra finch disease that could be serious. If a bird has an open beak, is breathing heavily and sits on their tail feathers on each breath, it could be the start of a respiratory illness.

When disease is there you must hurry

If a zebra finch is ill, you always need to hurry: These little animals have little resistance. For them it's dangerous if you wait too long or do nothing. A veterinarian who is familiar with zebra finches should therefore always be near you.

These are just some basic information on disease in zebra finches. There's plenty of literature, in which you can get accurate information so you can help your little friends in an emergency. Your pets will thank you after surviving the disease with renewed vitality.

Important Note

The Content Advisor cannot replace a visit to the vet. This information should not be used alone as the basis for health-related decisions. In diseases of animals and use of medication, you should consult a veterinarian.

Your are Your Dogs Boss Keep Them Away From Dog Fleas

First, let's take a look at what a "pack mentality" means. Dogs are born into packs - in the wild, packs are the essential social order. Unlike humans, who use a variety of political processes to determine leadership and rank, dogs sort out their social order by dominance and power. In a wolf pack, there is a Top Dog - a clear leader who is the dominant, Alpha male. He's the Big Dog, with pride of place at the dinner table (well, if wolves had a dinner table!), first in mating, first in decision making for the pack. Whether you realize it or not, your dog views your household as his own personal wolf pack.

Image of dog fleas. You are the boss and the control over the dogs, therefore, help them to be free of dog fleas. The flea treatment review might help you.

The pack mentality is so engrained in your dog's psyche that he will either view you as a leader - or a follower - depending on your actions. If you are to have a well-trained dog, you must establish that you are the leader, and he is the follower. Your dog has to know in his heart that you are the Alpha Dog, the Head Honcho, the Big Dog, the Top Dog - call it whatever you want, but your dog needs to know you're in charge. Dogs are a little like children in one respect - they're looking for someone else to be the leader - they want rules and regulations because that makes their role in the pack more clear-cut and understandable. It's scary being the leader - if you're not up to it, your dog may assume the role - because someone has to be in charge.

If that's what's happened at your house, you need to re-establish your position as the Top Dog, or "Leader of the Pack." But here's an important note: being the leader of the pack has absolutely nothing to do with harsh punishment. It has everything to do with consistency and setting limits. Even something as straightforward as who walks through the door first can reinforce your position as "dominant dog." Leaders lead. Followers follow. If you allow your dog to charge through the door ahead of you, he perceives that as asserting his dominance over you. Put your dog on the leash, and make sure you're the first one through the door. It is also important to read flea treatment review to get more help especially about dog fleas and the possible remedies.

Who gets fed first in your house - you or your dog? In a wolf pack, the leader eats first, and when he is done, the rest of the pack can dine. Do you feed your dog first because he pesters you when you're cooking your dinner, and it's simply more convenient to have him quiet and out of the way when you're eating? Food is a powerful motivator that can be used to clearly demonstrate who is the ruler of the roost at your house. In no way, shape or form am I suggesting that you withhold food from your dog - that's cruel and unusual punishment any way you look at it.
What I am suggesting is that you control the timing of the food - you should eat first, your dog second, after you're done with your meal. Does your dog lie on the floor and expect you to walk around him? In the wild, dominant dogs lie wherever they want, and dogs lower in the social order go around so they don't disturb the Big Dog. If you walk around your dog, he will assume this to be an act of submission on your part; therefore he must be the leader, not you. If your dog is lying in the middle of the hallway, or right in front of your easy chair, make him move. If he's on the couch and you want to lie down, make him move. Don't step over him. Just gently nudge him and make him get out of your way.

Even asking for attention or affection can be seen as an act of dominance from your dog's point of view. Dogs that demand attention are asserting dominance, so if your dog gets pushy, ignore him. When you're ready to give him attention or affection or pet or play with him, ask him to sit first. Don't run after him just so you can pet him. Make him come to you when you're ready to give him attention, or play with him. And when you play with a toy, make sure that you end up with possession of the toy, and then put the toy away when you're done.

This is a tough one for a lot of people, but when you let your dog share your bed, at best you're making him an equal to you. He should have his own bed, either a dog pad or his crate that he feels comfortable in - you can even put the dog pad next to your bed if that makes both of you happier - but don't let him take over the sleeping arrangements. Before you know it, he'll be trying to make you sleep on the floor. Again, reinforcing or retraining your dog to recognize you as the Head Honcho have absolutely nothing to do with harsh discipline. These are changes you can make that will change the way your dog thinks about you. And making even small changes like these can have an enormous impact on the way your dog views the social hierarchy in your home - all without a harsh word being spoken

Traveling by Plane with Children

Prepare yourself well for the flight and then just relax throughout the entire flight. But what if your baby screams throughout the entire flight? Do not get stressed out because your child will only calm down if you stay calm!

Booking and preparation

What you need:

Children under 2 years old are not entitled to a seat. You can book a seat (and pay) and use a child car seat instead, but not all companies approve of this solution. Therefore, you should make some inquiries before you book any flights.

Many airlines offer baby cots for hanging, but these can only be used in certain places. Make sure that you get such a place when you travel with your baby when booking flights and confirm it at check-in. At the symptoms of motion sickness use bands or patches to reduce the nausea.

Most airlines offer special children's menus on board. However, these usually have to be ordered at least 2 days before departure.

Car seats, strollers, travel cots – they should all b packed in large, solid garbage bags and tied down with cables so that they survive the rough handling of luggage. Almost all airports also offer you the opportunity to wrap everything in foil for little money. Do not forget the packing for the return flight.

Put a coin aside for the luggage trolley at the airport.

Two seats for adults may do not the work if you have two car bags and a stroller. Consider this if you have lots of luggage and decide to wear the baby or toddler in a sling, so that the hands remain free.

Check-in

image of motion sickness.
Find out if there is late check-in because it saves you stress on departure, especially if this is very early.

You must take off your shoes, slippers, etc. for some security checks (e.g. USA). Therefore, you had better make it fast. Remember that your toddler has to go through the metal detector alone so you should prepare them for it. It is best if a parent goes through the detector first and waits for the child on the other side.

Remember that you must not take any sharp objects and liquids on board. This also applies to craft accessories and toys for children. And make sure your son leaves the cowboy gun at home if you want to avoid complications...

Once again, remember that it is no longer allowed to take liquids on board. Therefore, you should not take milk with you on the plane but ask for water after boarding. If your baby is hungry between the security check and boarding, ask for a glass of water from the small coffee shops in the duty-free area??.

You must get a "label" (sticker) from the check-in counter if you want your bags and strollers to be taken to the gate. If you label them, you must hand them in at the over sized luggage counter.

Families with children are helped a lot in some countries. You can use the controls for the "First class", where the waiting time is often shorter.

You should take the children to the toilet after boarding because, once the seat belts are fastened, you are not allowed to go to the toilet for 30 minutes or longer. Also, the winding is easier to do on the ground than in the air.

"First families with children and the elderly..." Unfortunately, almost no one takes this announcement into consideration. The boarding is often done in an extremely uncivilized manner. Just like on school buses.

The Art of Choosing a Diamond from a Diamons Earrings Shop

How to buy the best diamond at the best price? Here is a guide that is supposed to help you become an informed amateur of diamonds.  Buying a diamond is a big investment and an important decision. Therefore, you should conduct a study beforehand as if you were buying a car or anything else of value. This article serves as a short introduction to the subject. It will only take a few minutes to read. This way, not only can you make an intelligent and rational purchasing decision, but you can also choose the most beautiful diamond for the woman of your life. Of course, you may also buy a diamond to treat yourself.

1)  First step: Learning the 4Cs

You will hear a lot about the 4Cs once you start showing interest in diamonds. The 4Cs are known as the characteristics of a diamond in the jargon of jewelry.  The 4Cs help to determine the value and beauty of a diamond: Carat - Cut (Size) - Color - Clarity (Purity). These are the 4 Cs.  The weight of a diamond is measured in carats. The size is considered the most important characteristic of a diamond. A well-cut diamond will have more fire, brilliance and shine brighter. The natural color of the visible matter of the diamond is the only natural characteristic. Finally, the purity is the indication of the inclusions (i.e. impurities) of the diamond. How are the 4Cs determined?

2) Second step: Pay attention to certificates

In general, every diamond sold in jewelry has been examined and classified according to the 4Cs. The scientific assessment gives you the possibility to compare the prices of diamonds. A larger diamond – with more carats - can be cheaper than a smaller one, but the purity and color can be much better. All the 4Cs should be taken into account in the determination of the value of a diamond. But how can you be sure of the characteristics of each diamond? Certificates serve as proof. The certificate is issued by independent gemological laboratories and offered by the diamond earrings shop where you make the purchase. It is written evidence of the qualities of the diamond as a basis for the determination of its value.

3) Third step: Develop a sensitivity to brightness

image of earrings.
There are several factors that contribute to the beauty of a diamond. Some women consider that a round, princess or pear diamond is more beautiful than any other diamond in any other shape. In fact, the beauty of the diamond is primarily a matter of personal taste.

But the most important aspect of the intrinsic beauty of a diamond is its brilliance. The brightness is also called "fire" or "shine". It is the element that brings life to the diamond, the element that captures your eyes from far away. This characteristic refers to the way light reflects when it is held in hand.

The brightness of a diamond can be determined scientifically in terms of references of light. You should learn more about brilliance of a diamond.

4) Step Four: Trust is important in the process of buying a diamond

Let’s assume that you have understood the essential role of the 4Cs, you have learned about the certification of diamonds and that you have awoken your sensitivity to the brilliance of a diamond. Now you must find a partner you trust.

How do you choose a diamond?

Diamonds are most probably the most secure way to fulfill a dream, so you should pay attention to every single detail. Here are the things you should consider when buying a diamond:
Certification

The 4Cs

The shape

The beauty and brilliance

The prices

The characteristics

You might want to do a bit of research before you spend loads of money on a piece of jewelry you know nothing about.
